Kabul, Afghanistan (CNN) -- A NATO servicemember was shot to death by a gunman in an Afghan army uniform Sunday in southern Afghanistan, the allied command in Kabul reported.
The attacker was killed by coalition forces who returned fire, NATO's International Security Assistance Force reported. An investigation was under way, ISAF said, and no further details were immediately released.

A third member of Hong Kong's billionaire Kwok family has been arrested as part of a high-profile corruption investigation in the city.
Sun Hung Kai Properties said that Walter Kwok had been arrested by Hong Kong's Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) on Thursday night.
Walter Kwok was a former chairman of the firm and the founder's eldest son.
His two younger brothers and Sun Hung Kai's joint chairmen, Thomas and Raymond Kwok, were arrested in March.

At least 12 people have been killed and more than 100 injured as explosions and a fire hit Thailand's largest petro-chemical complex.
Hundreds of residents living near the Map Ta Phut plant, in Rayong province, were evacuated and experts are monitoring the area for possible chemical contamination.
The cause of the blast is not known.
The plant has been at the centre of a long-running dispute by local residents and environmental campaign groups.

A "supermoon" has graced the skies, appearing bigger and brighter than usual, as it comes closer to the Earth - and is likely to bring higher tides.
The phenomenon, known as a perigee full moon, means the Moon appears up to 14% bigger and 30% brighter than when it is furthest from the planet.
The optimum effect was seen - cloud permitting - at 04:30 BST (03:30 GMT).
